To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to OJ. " " WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " " BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL EL/G24/11/21. 2 X4390 RE STARTING CARBURETTOR - 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS. We send you herewith drawing Lec.1492 shewing the above. This carburettor has been arranged to be carried by a flange and can be fixed to the existing induction pipe by means of a deeper piece. For future work the cock body should be mounted directly on the induction pipe which will make a saving in height. Mr. Royce would like you to try the simpler form of modulating pin shewn, which is cheaper and simpler than the one made after our usual style with lower guide.
