SUPPLEMENT.

BONNET to LOP M.66560 (Staybrite Finish).
Incorporating:-

E.S.3139 Revised Bonnet overhanging Dash.
E.S.3127 Concealed Bonnet Hinges.

There is considerable rattles coming from the bonnet when running over cobbly roads or on an uneven surface. The angle of the bonnet catches is too steep to maintain pressure of the bonnet on the bonnet strips. The springs of the catches are also too light. They do not give sufficient weight to hold the bonnet down snugly. The springs could be increased 50% without making the operation of the catches unduly hard. The covered side hinges are a decided improvement as they cover up the scratches caused by the hinges working which become very unsightly during the life of the car. We have a definite rattle from the top front hinge bearing of the bonnet on the radiator. This causes a distinct rattle and is objectionable. The bonnet generally is unsatisfactory in its present design. The rivets on the side hinges cut into the fabric strips. The stiffening strip of the bonnet fouls the Dashboard near the top of the panels.
