Empress High Pressure Lubricating System One Hand Operates It Ample pressure is developed in the gun before applying the gun to the connection; when the nozzle is inserted into the connection, a valve in the nozzle automatically releases the pressure and the resulting explosive action forces a charge of the lubricant into the bearing under high pressure. After developing the pressure in the gun, one hand operates it. Image Caption: The necessary pressure is built up in the gun before applying to the connection. Feeds Any Grade of Grease or Oil Under High Pressure The Empress High Pressure Lubricating System is the only system which will successfully and effectually feed both grease and oil under high pressure. It handles all grades of grease but is best suited to use with the lighter greases; it also handles any grade of oil from kerosene to the heaviest cylinder oil. When equipping an old car or truck for use with the Empress System it is often necessary to free the bearings from accumulated dry dead grease, grit, etc. To accomplish this the gun is loaded with kerosene and applied to each bearing. Empress High Pressure Lubricating System A Pressure or Gravity System The Empress High Pressure Lubricating System is the only system on the market which can be operated either as a pressure or gravity feed system. When using grease as the lubricant, pressure is always used to force it into the bearings; the gun, fully loaded, being conveniently carried in the tool box. Using oil as the lubricant, the lubrication of any chassis is a simple operation. The connections are so designed that they may be filled from the ordinary oil can invariably carried under the hood. Feeding by gravity. Pressure being unnecessary if the bearings are in proper condition. When using oil, the gun is not carried in the car but is left hanging in the garage being used only at intervals to flush out and clean the bearings; the oil can being used the balance of the time.
