| To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} +W14 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.11/KW.28.5.35. Narrow Pin Con. Rods - Bentley. Will you please make us a set of con. rods to Ex.17754 but with the following modifications :- (1) Make dia. of big end bore 2.150. (2) Thicken up steel portion of strip bearing by .025". We should like this increase to go into the steel back unless you want more Lead Bronze. (3) Mark on the rod the correct way for fitting. We understand that you have in the shop some narrow pin rods which will modify, but new caps will be required, unless those instructed in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}18/KW.13.5.35 have already been made.
