Replying to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ/3.10.31. with regard to the proposal to endeavour subsequently to do away with subframes, it has been pointed out to us by Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} that W are about to introduce a new system of engine mounting which will reduce considerably the stiffness imparted to the chassis frame by the engine, and that in consequence the subframe may become more necessary than it has been in the past. Perhaps you would be good enough to let us have your views on this point in due course. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} | ||
