re. USE OF ALUMINIUM WASHER IN PLACE OF FIBRE.

In reply to your memo. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/LG5326., concerning BYZ/H3326., I am sorry but I do not recollect anything in connection with a point being raised by BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} concerning these washers. As a matter of fact we are recommending the use of soft aluminium washers in connection with the revised spherical unions/nuts, and we should consider they were equally suitable for the drain pipe union in question.
