E.7.C. X6058. Date 9-1-31 Ref. No. WE70 X.NOS. 6058 Standard ignition coil with the secondary insulated with L.P.S wax paper. We have now tested on the bench one of these coils the other one being fitted to 19EX for test. It will be remembered that this waxed paper insulation was, much better than the standard Symons waxed paper at high temperatures. The coil performance cold did not differ from standard but on the heating test an improvement was noted in that the coil voltage was not reduced appreciably as is the case with standard coils, in fact a slight increase in secondary voltage was observed when the coil was hot as compared with its output cold. It was found that baking at 100°C improved the coil slightly which confirmed our tests on the paper which improved considerably as regards leakage conductance after | ||
