For the attention of S.H. Grylls, Esq.

10th May, 1939.

Dear Sirs,

In thanking you for your letter of the 9th, we confirm that our 7.50-16 cover is normally made in 6-ply construction in both Standard and Fort patterns, and, regrettably, we are not in a position to supply immediately the 4-ply edition of this.

We are despatching today five 7.50-16 covers and tubes of Standard type which will give you a lighter equipment than the Fort and are equal from a silence point of view.

We believe that you may be fitting these to 5.00x16 wheels, in which case the cornering capacity will not be comparable with the special equipment which we have under construction on your behalf.

In addition, we are putting in hand five 4-ply tyres in Rayon construction with the Standard tread depth and pattern, and as soon as we have a promise from the Works for these we will let you know when we hope to despatch.

Yours faithfully,
For DUNLOP RUBBER CO., LTD.
