LONDON, E.C.2.

For the attention of Mr.E.A.Evans.

Dear Sirs,

We are sending to you a sample of Hi-press oil taken from an axle on which the gears have failed. As far as we know this oil is of the sulphur chloride variety and not thio-ether.

We should be glad if you would let us know whether this in any way varies from our usual Hi-press, whether it has lost its lubricating properties, or what you consider to be the cause of the gear failure.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
