Dear Robotham, Following the arrangement which we made yesterday I am unable to ascertain whether we shall have supplies of the new liquid in time for filling the gauge on Mr.Royce's car before you send it away again. I am accordingly sending you Crookes' glass for this car, in case I am not able to get a new supply of liquid to you in time. At the same time I am sending some spare Crookes' glasses, as our supplies have now arrived, and these can be used in any of your experimental cars to which you have access at Derby.
