THE CARE OF ACCUMULATORS.

CAREFUL OBSERVATION OF THE FOLLOWING SIMPLE
RULES WILL ALMOST INVARIABLY SECURE SATISFACTORY RESULTS.

DISCHARGING RULES.

DO NOT DISCHARGE THE BATTERY TOO LOW.

DO NOT DISCHARGE ANY CELL BELOW 1.8 VOLTS
(MEASURED WHILE A DISCHARGE CURRENT IS PASSING).

DO NOT ALLOW THE BATTERY TO STAND COMPLETELY
DISCHARGED.

CHARGING RULES.

THE BATTERY MUST ALWAYS BE CHARGED IN THE
RIGHT DIRECTION.

THE POSITIVE TERMINAL (+) OF THE BATTERY MUST
BE COUPLED ON CHARGE TO THE POSITIVE CHARGING MAIN.

DO NOT ALLOW THE BATTERY TEMPERATURE TO EXCEED
100°F.{Mr Friese} ON CHARGE.

DO NOT EXCESSIVELY OVERCHARGE.

WORKING RULES.

KEEP THE ELECTROLYTE AT THE PROPER SP.{Mr Spinney} GR.{George Ratcliffe}
(1.200 TO 1.250 WHEN FULLY CHARGED) AND THE PROPER HEIGHT
ABOVE THE TOP OF THE PLATES.
