x2061 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from HDY.{William Hardy} HDY.{William Hardy}2/HP.27.4.34. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} American Gearboxes. Many thanks for the pictures of the Cadillac 16 and Lincoln gearboxes and clutches. The Cadillac is not much changed from what is illustrated in Automotive Industries of January 1933. The deflection of the shafts when in 2nd and 1st speeds must be many times more than what we get. The axes of the gears will remain more or less parallel however. They do not seem to be so concerned about keeping the floorboards free from obstruction by the change gear tower as they used to be. HDY.{William Hardy} | ||
