| Customers cars 261d Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/ML. 26.3.41. Flight Lieut: J.Thompson, Officer's Mess, Cranwell Aerodrome, LINCS. Dear Jack, Your Bentley is now on the road. I think the boys made a good job of it. Having expended some of our very limited Experimental man-power on the overhaul, we should like to keep it for a fortnight for some experimental tests. At the same time we shall run it in and make sure that everything is O.K. I suggest however, that you get the Licence out forthwith. We have had to change the registration number because the late owner always sticks to the same plate and therefore you will have to get this altered on the Registration Book. The new number is FOM.666. We are obtaining the necessary plates. Naturally, when you come to collect the car there will be justification for some mild form of celebration. I hope you will bring Kath if she is well enough. Yours sincerely, | ||
