DYNAMO - ANNEALED COPPER COMMUTATOR.

We have completed a series of experiments on commutators made of annealed copper in place of hard drawn copper, both for 57 and 29 coil armatures.

As a result of these experiments we have proved that the performance of the annealed copper commutators is no better and possibly slightly inferior to that of the standard material.

The series of experiments has, however, assisted in demonstrating the point that the brush wear on a 57 segment commutator is very materially less than that on the old 29.
