This fitting is rather alarming to look at comprising as it does 95 pieces. It gives, judging by the feel, greatly increased support to rad. But as this particular chassis is fitted with a set of special mudguards the bonnet strips, reaching high up on radiator, also give enormous rigidity.

(7) Bonnet side strips.

These are insufficiently cut away to properly clear front shock absorbers when rad. moves in relation to frame.
