ACCIDENT TO 48-PK CAR IN FRANCE. X.9946.

We wired to you this morning as follows :-

"ACCIDENT TO SALES CAR IN FRANCE CAUSED BY STEERING TAKING CHARGE OWING TO CENTRE BOLT OF OFF SIDE FRONT SPRING HAVING PREVIOUSLY SHEARED STOP VERY SLIGHT DAMAGE DONE STOP DRIVER DRIVING CAR TO DERBY - HIVES".

This is a copy of a wire we have received from our man Mr. Lidsey from France.

We are expecting a more complete report with a more full explanation as to the cause of the accident.

At present it is difficult to reconstruct it when we consider the extra precautions which have been taken with the 4-wheel brake cars of fixing the springs to the front axle.
