We have taken three sample production Carburetters, and our Inspection shows that they are all oval at the Air Intake extension, the worst of the three being .014. We suggest to you that the majority of these Carburetters will suffer in this respect, and we would like to know your views, as to what limit is permissible in this respect. We will then instruct that all outside this limit should be returned. This may of course have a very serious effect on our production programme. We are also prepared, if it is desired, to fit the proposed Stiffening Ring, if necessary instructions can be issued quickly. [Handwritten Annotation] Sft{Mr Swift}- We cannot produce a stuck choke valve by tightening up the air silencer. sft.{Mr Swift} [signature] Can you show us a sample Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
