RECEIVED SEP 30 1922 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} C. EFC. Sir Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3014 L BY8-P29.9.22. 40/50 CHASSIS. DYNAMO. X3014 L X4357 We have cleared the issue for "R" Series in regard to Dynamos, by assuming that we shall carry on with the present standard Lucas, which is the only logical position for us at the moment in the absence of any standardisation sheet for the Dynamo with 1" longer armature. If the Exp. Dept, as I believe they are, are in favor of the 1" longer machine, I think that we should ask "R" whether he has any objection to adopting same, and if he would give his consent quickly and a decision could be obtained from CJ, and BJn we should then be at liberty to use the special Lucas machine referred to in Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}10/NJ18922.
