RE DYNAMO TA.75 EX CHASSIS 66-SC.

Your ref. BY/HM{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}20/G1 2.9.26. We have duly tested this dynamo. After testing the insulation (just as received) only and finding this O.K. it was run on the bench for several hours, at the end of which time its output curve was checked. It was then examined. Nothing was found wrong with this dynamo, either upon inspection or test. It has, however, a rather high output because it has the old brush setting previous to the change.
Before returning the machine to the customer, it should be altered to the new standard control brush setting of 122° from the main positive brush, instead of 120°, when its output will be made normal and in line with machines that are being turned out at present.
We note that "N" say in their note "and the dynamo was found to be at fault". It would have been interesting to know what fault they found with the dynamo, as we can find no fault with it.
We return the machine herewith.

EFC.
