For the attention of Mr. Donald Sessions.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the fitting of the front Jacks to the 20/25 HP.

There is one point we omitted to raise, that is with regard to the lean of the Front Axle. If these Jacks are fitted directly on to the axles they will naturally operate at the same angle as the axle lean, which is 2½° and will therefore not get a vertical bearing on the ground without some considerable strain on the Jack.

We think it is necessary that the fitting for these Jacks should be formed to counteract the axle lean.

The one we have on our Trials Car has wedge shaped steel pads between the axle and the Jack.

Reverting to the 40/50 HP. 2-speed Handle, will you please arrange for a small strong tag label to be affixed on the handles, stating the position of the gear markings of "High" and "Low" on the Gearbox.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
