FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} (At Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.) ORIGINAL. RZ/411.5.32. Rec'd & despatched from WW. 20.5.32. GOSPORT & PEREGRINE GEARBOX REVERSE. For economy of length and cost we could make the shaft upon which the reverse revolves thus - Quite a straight hard pin lapped like a piston pin drilled for lubrication. End left soft. Turn from large dia. bar. Overall length equals spigot, plus plate, plus nut and washer. Press in the above pin really tightly. Cross pin or half pin as the dimensions allow. This is cheaper and better than shouldered pin, nut, and locking. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Handwritten notes: X4553? X4037? | ||
