Dear Olley,

Can you let me have a little more information about the attachment of shock absorber levers to their shafts ? That is the process of pressing a hardened knurled shaft into a round hole in the lever. We should like to know the material of the parts, diameters and the type and width of knurl used. Perhaps you can let me have drawings.

We are also unsatisfied with our pure leather road spring gaiters. What do you recommend if anything for covering springs, and where do you buy it ?

You might be interested to hear that we find that the Inlox type rubber bush produced by Silentbloc has a better life on the bumper rig than the American product. Although the Silentbloc product's resistance to thrust is less, it withstands a higher thrust load before collapsing.

Bearing in mind your desire to see some of our Skid-pan results, Grylls has let me have the attached pictures taken from one of our independent suspension cars. This car handles very well with the front anti-roll rod.

Yours sincerely,
