Insufficient dynamo output on 20/25 HP cars in the U.S.A. and a proposed modification.

One of the jobs I promised to give attention to when I returned was the troubles they were having in U.S.A. with insufficient output from the generators on the 20/25 HP. cars. In U.S.A. they have six cars, GLR-57,27,60,61. 29,31. It is obvious that we have got to do something for them. Mr. Brock has shown us the output of a 20/25 HP. generator after he has modified the pole pieces and we think that very probably this modification would satisfy them in U.S.A. We know that we have satisfied a very large number of our customers with Phantoms by a similar modification I believe this alteration could be carried out by R.R.A.I. on existing machines and would save us the expense of sending any parts out. We recommend that EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} gets out an instruction which will be sent to Springfield, telling them how to deal with these machines.
