With reference to the last paragraph of the above Report, the cause of the failure of the petrol pump was due to:

'A' Side:
Very bad petrol leakage past diaphragm.
The diaphragms were not those fitted with an oiled silk washer.

'B' Side:
Pump only worked intermittently owing to the contacts being rather badly corroded.

We have now reconditioned the pump and carried out latest modification to it.
