N/W - Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 200(3) Br/Bk{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager}2/H.12.2.41. Re: Chassis No.B.214-GA ex Wilmot Breeden. With reference to the figure of £12. which I gave you for modification 'C', this figure includes for removing the engine from the frame, drilling crank-shaft, supplying and fitting a set of new main bearings. There is a further figure of £3. which I gave, should be added to this, but if the car is already fitted with a large type oil pump, £4. can be subtracted, so that the actual approximate cost of carrying out the work which you will require, will be £11. It is noted that you propose to leave the big end bearings as they are. The item of £3.10.0. for attention to the slipper drive consists of dismantling as necessary, dissembling slipper drive, fitting new duck washers and polishing up surfaces as necessary. We will have the strengthened type half axle shafts sent to you. The cost of supplying and fitting these shafts will be approximately £6. We also confirm that we have a crankshaft on hand suitable for this car. Bk.{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager} [Handwritten note] Just heard from Mr. Wyman that he will collect them on Friday next.
