14-EX car which Mr. Royce is using in the south of France is a completely enclosed car with sports engine. This car has been tried by PN.{Mr Northey} and CWB. and was considered a very nice car. R.{Sir Henry Royce} is also very satisfied with it.

We do not hesitate in saying that we can make a satisfactory engine for the body you describe.
We have arranged the new type makon cyl. head so that we can have the following compression ratios - 4¼ to 1, 4½ to 1, 4¾ to 1 and 5 to 1.

As the compression ratio is now practically the only alteration to give the increased power out put, it would be easily possible for us to adjust the compression to 5 to 1 if it is found to be too high for a covered body.

The increase in performance which would be obtained on this car would be due to its light weight and low resistance, rather than any increase in horse power.

There will be no difficulty in building a chassis for an experimental body of this type as long as sanction is given.
