-( 2 ) 5 B IV. CUT-OUT OPEN Max. revs. .......... 4,450 Oil Temp. .......... 120°c Water " .......... 78°c Average Lap Speed 144.695 KPH. = 89.9 MPH. B. I. CW. CUT-OUT OPEN Average Lap Speed 142.448 KPH. = 88.5 MPH. || Acceleration tests side by side from 5 MPH. top gear. || There was nothing in it. Third gear 5 B IV. was slightly faster. Acceleration from standing start through gears. 5 B IV. was hopeless. The Clutch slips and will not take the torque of the engine for 5 to 10 seconds, using second gear. The high compression head does not appear to give the power or results as expected. It does give us plenty of detonation and roughness, not experienced on the trial Car. There was no sign of Valve bounce at maximum speed. Tomorrow we are trying a Standard Cylinder head. G.W.H. | ||
