Oy4-E-4626 -2- April 6th, 1926. Our source of complaint here (and we believe on analysis it would prove to be yours in England) is due to comparison of the Phantom with a good standard of Silver Ghost riding which has been the pride and boast (and bread and butter) of the Company for so many years that it has become a legend. We believe that if the Phantom riding can be made equal to the standard of a good Silver Ghost (without front brakes) "the job is done" as far as the general public is concerned. We are so positive of this because out of more than 2000 cars now on the road in this country, complaints on riding quality are unknown except in cases where a new body has been fitted of wrong weight for the springs, or the springs have rusted up, or the front shock absorbers have become slack or out of adjustment, chiefly the latter. Yours very truly, Maurice Olley OK Trouble MO/E | ||
