COPY. R7/B19313. From F.H.R., Copies sent to: Mr Johnson. Mr Wormald. Mr Spinney. Mr Nadin. Out of balance wheels and tyres. x45Y It looks as though the difficulty of out of balance wheels and tyres cannot be very easily met and it is preferable for such a fault to shew itself (by being uncomfortable to the driver) than for it to be there without the driver's knowledge as might be the case with irreversible steering. It also points out the desirability of reducing the effect of such a fault to a minimum as would be the case if we adopted wire wheels as standard owing to the advantage that they would have of being able to fit over the steering pivots. I particularly want Mr Nadin and Mr Spinney to get this latter matter moving. I was pleased to hear that the Dunlop wire wheels were less liable to break their spokes than any other wire wheels that have been in use. I am awaiting the drawings of the hubs for these wheels both front and rear. F.H.R. COPY. | ||
