R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.F. 846 6-8-19) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2460 To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} [Handwritten Note] R AGREES WITH HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} REF NOT GOING ON WITH VAPOURISER. 40/50 6EX [Stamp] ORIGINAL R3/M9.10.22. 6.EX, AND OTHER 40/50s. With reference to 6.EX and other 40/50s I am quite in agreement with you that the vapouriser scheme should be avoided if at all possible. It is not a good way of tackling the trouble; its appearance on the car would be decidedly detrimental. Will you please fit up 6.EX with the combination that you recommend, that is, without the vapouriser, with the modified induction pipe to give good distribution even when cold, with the exhaust heated throttle, and the other points which we have lately settled. I want this car at WW. as soon as possible as we are now working on the 40/50 modifications and require it for reference, but it must be right in appearance and working.
