contd :- -3- 108 Radiator to LOP. E.77675 N.S.2727/2683/2696 E.CH.1048. The dial of the suspension studs increased from .25 to .3125. No further trouble was experienced with the radiator as previously reported. We have noticed that when the water has been drained off by way of the top, the bottom pipe from radiator to the pump is left half full. This may cause trouble in the event of water freezing. We still maintain our opinion re. outlet as previously reported at 5000 miles. Radiator Shutters to LOP. E.77676. N.S.2683. The shutters mechanically have operated satisfactorily. A feature noticed is that a too big a difference in the water temperature is obtained by one notch on the quadrant. A more consistent temperature would be maintained if the movement of the shutters could be ax decreased notch for the first half opening of the shutters. Bonnet to LOP. E.77677 - standard catches and locks. Our report at 5000 miles deals with the bonnet - no further complaints arose. Oil Pump and Drive to LOP. E.77662. As previously reported the oil pump became noisy - this did not improve or otherwise during the remainder of the run. The oil pressure varying was found to be due to the oil leaving the filter as reported elsewhere. Fan to LOP. E.77672. This remained O.K. throughout the test. Front axle and Brakes to LOP. G.77305. N.S.27189. 2328. XX 2758. G.L. 280/1. 265. 274. The front axle and brakes when examined at the finish of the test were in a very good condition. No further fouling had taken place of the anchorage bolts. This, since reporting, has been dealt with - no water had entered the drums. Lubrication has been fully reported upon. Front springs & fittings to LOP. F.79626 N.S.2567/2697 Cadmium plated. These, when examined, were still in a good condition - lubrication fully reported upon. contd :- | ||
