Supplementary Petrol for Home to Works.

It has been decided by the Divisional Petroleum Officer that all future applications for supplementary petrol for Rolls-Royce employees will be handled directly by us. This arrangement will be fully effective for the October-November and subsequent rationing periods.

The procedure for obtaining coupons will be similar to that previously followed for obtaining certificates, i.e. application forms (obtainable from Departmental Managers) should be completed with the desired monthly mileage inserted in pencil. The forms, together with car registration book, should then be sent to the head of the applicant's department, viz.,

Works. Staff.

HPS. {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} EJJ Hl. D. {John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
WEP. Sft {Mr Swift} /CH.

The forms will then be checked, and those considered absolutely essential sent with the registration book to Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Gry. {Shadwell Grylls} who will issue the necessary coupons.

In filling in the applications it should be noted that:-

1. The form should be sent in at least two weeks before the commencement of the rationing period.

2. Lunch time travelling should not be included.

3. Mileage should not be claimed when other means of transport are available.

Due to the change in system some people may not have received sufficient petrol coupons for September, in which case they should apply for further rations to cover this month as detailed above.
