SpectreCodename for Phantom III Suspension.

Attached is a preliminary report on the work we have so far done on the worst SpectreCodename for Phantom III problem, i.e., the fling-up in the rear when passing over hump-backed bridges.

We are issuing a report to show what we have been doing. We have come to no definite conclusions, and are actually reluctant to circulate any information because as yet we do not know the whole story.

We expect to have to retract a number of the statements made in this report when we know more about the trouble. For the moment we do not recommend that design work should proceed on the information available, except in so far as an examination might be made into the possibility of increasing the rebound on the front suspension to 5", and a longer chassis to get the rear seats relatively further forward.
