X5860 Z. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Rl/MS.4.28. INDIA 3 - INDUCTION PIPES. CARBURETTER ETC. X.5070 X.5080 You will notice that I favour this being exactly the same as 'SS{S. Smith}' Phantom. Therefore as far as I can judge your Lec.2529 is the best, but possibly in going over it again you can finesse some little gains. I should favour Lec.2527 length of boss so that head joint can be made with box key on all studs as you suggest (much better practice). I cannot see why the same head will not do for underfed pipe - i.e. Lec.2531 (or with new carb. R's sketch which we hope to have ready soon) and why your underfed present carburetter should not be tried. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
