Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter dated 5th. October.

We have to inform you that the air temperature control unit mentioned has never been in our possession.

Some time ago we carried out certain tests in collab-oration with Mr. Grose on this subject, but we did not use any or borrow any tackle from Smiths.

We are writing to remind them of this, and enclose copy of our letter.
