TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M6.6.24. C. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} HN.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} re. 20.HP. PROPELLER SHAFT LUBRICATOR. x4255 x4254 We are aware that our original suggestion of lubricator in the shaft itself did foul the battery box, and we subsequently sent you a sketch shewing a lubricator screwed in on an angle into the outer casing of the joint, which is on the propeller shaft itself, and held in position by a spring. We understood that the state of the job at the moment is that BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} is waiting for a report. As this matter is rather important due to a number of cars running about with no lubricator and consequently no oil, we think that we must attempt to do something.
