PHANTOM 111 - MODIFICATIONS TO EXHAUST DOWNTAKE PIPE AND ALSO INTERMEDIATE PIPE SUPPORT TO SUIT WRAITH TYPE STEERING GEAR AND MODIFIED STARTER MOTOR.

Please receive herewith E.CD.603 Modifications to O.S. Downtake Pipe and Intermediate Pipe Stays - Phantom lll.

The offside exhaust downtake pipe is altered in shape where it crosses the front of the engine in order to allow clearance for the side steering tube as laid out on F.CD.553, the altered shape of pipe may shroud more of the radiator matrix area than the present pipe does.

The alteration to the intermediate pipe support is necessitated by the new starter motor housing to D.CD.401.

Will you please detail and instruct the new parts for the experiment.

We would like BY/Ald.{F. Allwood - Experimental Design} to note the altered exhaust downtake pipe and check the clearance with the steering gear he is setting out for this car.

WYMAN.
