To C.J. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} -2- R6/G3/10/21 Contd. the taxation, which in the earlier days would have shifted the engine from a very expensive class to one of a much more moderate figure. At the present rate the change of taxation would only be £8. In future I understand that it is possible that the taxation will be shifted from the car to the petrol, which naturally is more just and also encourages economy. The smaller bore was also desired to avoid piston knocks. As soon as we have got the 12/14 H.P. moving we shall give this matter attention. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
