Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Ey. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} Mr Walker (Pattern Shop). c. Mr Goodall. Des / JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} 1124 Cylinder Castings. With regard to utilising the system of ventilation of cylinder block cores as used in America, we have schemed a modification which can be applied to the 25/30 and Bentley cylinder blocks which will enable this to be applied. Our intention is to alter a set of patterns and make trial castings as soon as possible. With regard to casting Bentley T.T. and Wraith cylinder heads, we have gone over the foundry technique very thoroughly with Mr Walker and Mr Goodall, and we are introducing modifications which we think will satisfy everybody concerned in easing the difficulties of casting, cleaning, and inspection, and will make the core sections comparable with those in use in America.
