R.R. 235c (10 T) (S.J 194-9-6-21). X4231 RECEIVED R.{Sir Henry Royce} From BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 17 NOV 1921 BYI-P17.11.21. GOSHAWK 11. RE FIXING OF WATER PUMP ROTOR. Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s memo in which he points out that the rotor of the pump screws off the spindle, I consider this matter to be an error in my department, as although no particular hand of thread was specified on the LeC, such matters as these should always have consideration to see that the hand of thread is correct to tighten up the rotor against any resistance it is likely to encounter. in this instance the thread should have been left handed instead of the standard right hand. We have corrected this matter and issued the corrected drawing. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
