"BAXTER" LINK CON-ROD The statement attributed to "Prof." Lloyd-Evans by the inventor of the above mechanism is certainly rather surprising and I think Evans must have been off his guard and not speaking for publication. I think you will find that Lloyd-Evans is a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at University College and not a Professor - that post is occupied by Prof. Coker F.R.S. I have met him only once and then he did not greatly impress me. I remember he was complaining that there was nothing to be done in the way of research and I formed the opinion that he rather lacked imagination but in this I may have been quite mistaken. So far as I know, he has not done much original work and has not published many (if any) papers. Personally I would not attach great weight to his opinion. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ud. | ||
