18th. November 1937.

For the attention of Mr. Philpot.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter dated 8th. November, ref. HEP/AR. We noted your remarks relating to the two errors in the weight analysis of the body, they are not however of a very misleading nature.

We feel that this analysis gives one all the useful information that can be obtained from work of this kind, and is most satisfactory with regard to the sectioning.

We feel it would now be of interest to get a comparative analysis of the weight saved on one of your Bentley bodies with aluminium panels. We understand, furthermore, that you are now working with aluminium wings, which could also be included in the comparison. Perhaps you could let us know what the prospects are of getting this comparison.

Thanking you for your co-operation in this matter

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
