WILLIAM BROWN & SONS,
Coal Merchants and Haulage Contractors, Victoria Road, Thornton-le-Fylde.

Mr. McNaught,
Dear Sir,
Many people have asked me if it is possible to get Fog Lamps like the one I have on my motor lorry.
If so, how and where can they get them, as they would like to have them.

Yours faithfully,
per pro. W. BROWN, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} B.

Box 2 (Top Right):
"Florab," Broadway, Broughton, Preston.
February 5th, 1935.

Dear Mr. McNaught,
About a year ago, you were kind enough to fit on my car one of your Fog Lamps, and I feel it my duty to let you know how I have gone on with it.
As I dare say you are aware, I have had many opportunities of using it during this period, and although I have been night travelling in very dense fogs, I never had the least difficulty in getting to my destination.
I should not like to be without it now, and as far as I am concerned, fog has lost all its terrors.
I must say that the lamp does everything that you claim for it. It will definitely be a boon to the motorist.
Wishing you the best of luck.
Yours sincerely,
(Signed) T. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DALLAS.

C. C. FURNESS,
Colliery Agent.

63, Corporation Street, Preston.
24th February, 1934.

Sir,
I feel I must write to let you know what excellent results I have obtained from my Fog Lamp which you were kind enough to fit on my car.
I have tested it out during very thick fogs, and must say the results have been marvellous. The road and other objects can be picked out with the greatest ease, and the road traffic can be passed with safety.
It will be the greatest boon the motorist has had yet, and for fog has lost its terror if one of these Fog Lamps is fitted to the car.
Its success is assured.
Wishing you the best of luck,
Yours truly,
for C. C. FURNESS (Signed) T. Dallas.

We, the undersigned, witnessed a test of McNaught's Patent Fog Lamp on the evening of October 30th, 1934, at Poulton-le-Fylde Steam Laundry.
The room was filled with very dense steam, and the Fog Lamp penetrated the steam, and we were able to easily distinguish objects at 15 feet away.

Box 5 (Bottom Left):
We, the undersigned, certify that we left Earlestown Town Hall on the evening of February 24th, 1934, at 11-30 p.m. and proceeded in a motor car fitted with McNaught's Patent Fog Lamps.
Notwithstanding the fact that most road traffic was completely held up, and that bus services were disorganised, and that twice we took the wrong turning owing to our driver being unfamiliar with the route, we reached Thornton, a distance of 46 miles, at exactly 2-0 a.m. From this point we picked up two other people and Little Thornton to see members of our party home.
