SpectreCodename for Phantom III Cars for Demonstration and Olympia. Your Ref.H/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}7/MM.7.8.35. Please note as follows:- (1) FOG LAMPS. We shall provide the Lucas fog lamps for the Experimental Car, the Demonstration Cars and the two cars for our own stand at Olympia, but we shall leave it to the coach-builders concerned to supply lamps for their cars. We have given instructions for three lamps to be sent to you without delay for the Demonstration and Experimental Cars. (2) HEAD LAMPS. It is correct that the head lamps are to be of the P.100 type with dipping reflectors. We have yet to decide whether they will form part of the standard equipment of the chassis or be supplied as extras as is our present practice in regard to lamps for R.R.chassis. But as regards the Demonstration and Experimental Cars we think the best plan would be for you to arrange to draw three pairs of lamps from the Bentley stock at the works. (3) FRONT BUMPERS. We have asked the J.R.Engineering Co. to send you quickly a front bumper for the Experimental Car. (4) BACK BUMPERS. We shall want back bumpers on the two Demonstration Cars and on the two cars for our own stand at Olympia. Can you let us have details of the back bumpers that should be supplied for the two Demonstration Cars so that we may ask the J.R.Engineering | ||
