X. 3181 EFC3/T51017. Oct. [crossed out] Sept. 5th. 1917. Messrs. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Cussons Ltd., Technical Works, Lower Broughton, Manchester. Dear Sirs, Re Dalby-Watson Optical Indicator. We have now referred this matter to Mr. Royce and he has instructed us that as it would be a great advantage to indicate our engines, we should go-ahead in the matter of your indicator. Would it, therefore, be convenient to you to let us have the necessary prints and details to enable us to get out a rig for supporting the indicator over one of our engines. You will remember that it was suggested that the gentleman who showed me the indicator in operation should pay us a visit with the object of seeing for himself how best this fixing would be arranged. We should be pleased to see him at any time, and could show him one of our engines arranged for six cylinders which is the arrangement we should propose to use in this connection. Would you also let us know if you have been able to do anything in the way of light spring diagrams, as we are particularly interested in these, and as you will appreciate, it will be an enormous boon to us if we are enabled to tell accurately the variation | ||
