By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7520 Dal/M14.8.30. X, 7520 XX 5520 SHOCK DAMPERS. Some considerable time ago we sent through an idea for providing a slight amount of free movement in the middle of the shock damper stroke by introducing small air vessels into the body of the shock damper. We also sent a temperatory method of applying the scheme to the existing dampers. We have not had any report as to results though we believe these air vessels have been tried. R.{Sir Henry Royce} has referred to the matter again just recently. We also asked that a patent should be taken out in the name of W.G. Hardy. So far we have seen nothing of this, and should be glad if it could be pushed forward. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
