Dear Sirs,

Ref.-EHB.
Tyre Pressures. (Cord Tyres).

We have now received a batch of your new lists (undated) marked "Correct Tyre Inflation", copy of which we enclose herewith and, on examination, are surprised to note the Tyre Pressures you specify therein for the 4½" and 5" both Beaded-edge and Straight Side Tyres are identical with those specified in your list dated Oct.1st,1921.

We certainly understood from the Conference held at these works with your representatives and the revised pressures you provisionally agreed to in your letter dated May 16th. that the modified Pressures specified therein would be incorporated in this new booklet of yours.

Is it possible that the wrong booklets have been sent us or, if our surmise in this connection is incorrect, would it be possible for you to supply us with a batch of gummed leaflets embodying the modified Pressures specified in your letter of May 16th so that we can issue same to our various clients.

We certainly are not in agreement with the high Pressures you are now recommending in this booklet called "Correct Tyre Inflation", for the 4½" and 5" Cord Tyres.
Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS ROYCE LTD.,
(Sgd.) H.Royce).
Buyer.

P.S. A chart attached shows the 3 sets of figures we have received from you on this subject:-

(1) Those recommended in your list dated Oct.31st,1921.
(2) Your new lists undated and marked "Correct Tyre Inflation".
(3) Those you agreed to in your letter dated May 16th, 1922.
