19th. December 1938.

Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH.

For the attention of Mr. Longley.

Dear Sirs,

Some time ago we ordered from you three fan belts to EB.3927 which have since proved to be defective owing to having been made in an unsuitable mould - you have now supplied belts to this drawing made in correct mould. At the same time we ordered three belts to EB.3948 and are now wondering whether these were made in the correct mould or whether these were also a compromise.

Will you please let us know this and if so, whether you now have the correct mould for producing these belts.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
