RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 461-8-12-24) MP 306975 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To Order No. Customer's No. 19 failed to comply with items 3, 6 and 8 on that specification. In the case of item 3 the safety gap length was unobtainable but we ascertained the breakdown voltage by using a parallel gap. The voltage at which the safety gap would spark over was found to be 9050 or 6400 RMS. We noticed that the contact breaker was fitted with the old steel lever which we consider to be now obsolete as it contributes considerably to the noise. Something ought to be done in the way of getting rid of the sleeves and cheapening the magneto considerably. Signed H.E.W. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
