3. S. I. SPECTRECodename for Phantom III.

With regard to your memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 9/KW II/7/35 re reports, triplicate copies will be sent in future. At the same time, I suggest that no request for information should be sent here, without your signature.

With regard to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}'s memo :-

1) The Box is fitted with a correct dip stick. There are 6 pints of oil in the box.

2) The Diaphram between the two compartments, rear and centre, has got the latest type hole.

3) There is no trouble with oil not flowing into all the compartments.

4) There has not been a felt in the tail bearing of the Clutch. T. Fisher says they have not fitted the felt since the first Car was built. We misunderstood your telegram. The felt behind the Flywheel was what we took your message to mean.

5) We have found that the Engine was a 1/4" out of line with the Gear box. We have lifted the rear of the Engine to line this up.

6) The Oilite bush has been satisfactory without any oil feed, and no felt was fitted.

7) Leslie arrived here and has instructed the dismantling of the front suspension, complete to solder the joints of the damper pots.
